The Andy Monument- Homage to Warhol in Union Square

The Andy Monument by artist Rob Pruitt, a 7-foot shiny chrome homage to Pittsburgh native Andy Warhol, was unveiled Wednesday in front of the pop art king's former Factory studio in New York City's Union Square. The artist made the statue as he imagined Warhol in 1977: dressed in Levi's 501 jeans, a Brooks Brothers blazer, wearing a Polaroid camera around his neck and carrying a medium brown bag from Bloomingdale's. This amazing monument was funded by New York's Public Art Fund.
